As per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines, every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution's system and works towards the realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.
The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. The NAAC, National Action Plan requires every accredited institution to establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Accordingly, IQAC has been set up in the University with the Vice-Chancellor as its Chairman. The IQAC is the central point in the implementation of the Quality Policy of the university and works for quality enhancement and sustenance. It has developed a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the performance of the university. IQAC develops a quality manual describing various benchmarks and the processes designed to achieve them. The manual describes the QA system, the set of guidelines, codes of good practices, and procedures to be implemented by the various units. Based on the prescribed guidelines, each unit of the university develops its own internal quality assurance mechanism. The mechanisms are coherent with the quality assurance framework and approved by the IQAC, to evaluate the quality of teaching programs and courses, academic staff, teaching and learning experience, student assessment, internal moderation, support services, resources and facilities, and research and program review processes.

Another prominent feature of the moot court Cell is conducting Workshops on
mooting skills on regular basis. During the workshops students, especially
the freshers are engaged into the activity of
problem solving, mock trials and mooting competitions. The workshops are
designed to suit the understanding levels of the target audience and are
held throughout the year to ensure consistency and
gradual grooming. Each workshop put together involves separate modules
dealing with definite facets of the skills, such as ‘Effective use of
Language’, ‘Fundamentals of Public Speaking’, Fact
Management, data structuring and Framing contentions and tools to refute
arguments. Student’s acknowledge the workshops to be very effective in
giving practical training and these workshops and
participate in these with over whelming response.
The Moot Court Cell follows a policy of encouraging participation in moot
courts from all batches, organizes extensive workshops and demonstrations to
enable them to learn the process of moot
courts and arranges for interactive sessions with experienced litigators
from previous batches.
It helps to prepare the students for upcoming legal practice.
Moot Court is a mock court in which students participate in simulated court
proceedings which involves drafting of memorials and presenting oral
arguments. Moot Court Cell works for training the
students to improve upon their presentation skills, so that they can perform
well in moot court competition. The students are guided in different areas
as to, how to plead orally and submit their
written submissions. How to frame issues, what are factual and legal issues,
what is Jurisdiction of Court, how to answer and tackle the queries of
judges etc., how to work on strength and
weaknesses. The Moot Court Cell is headed by Umesh Jawalikar, Assistant
Professor along with his team of student members who carry out various
activities.
The Cell also heads responsibility to select teams for external moot court
competition. Accordingly, Internal Moot Assessment Round (IMAR) are
conducted. The students are invited to make
presentation on a given moot problem before a panel of judges which includes
an external judge and then are selected for external moots. As to the
requirement, the teams are finalized for inter
collegiate, state level, national level or international level
competitions.
Apart from this, Different burning issues in form of moot problems were
given to the student participants. With lot of zeal and efforts students
make research on the problem areas. This activity
increases the research skills of the students. All the students of BLC are
made part of this activity, irrespective of their classes. The activity also
develops a sense of brotherhood,
belongingness and co-operation.
The College has a Moot Court Cell comprising of a Cell In- Charge and students cell members. The Moot Court Cell In- charge proposes it to the Campus Director and CDC Chairperson after consulting with the Principal and faculty in-charges.

Another prominent feature of the moot court Cell is
conducting Workshops on mooting skills on regular basis.
During the workshops students, especially the freshers are
engaged into
the activity of problem solving, mock trials and mooting
competitions. The workshops are designed to suit the
understanding levels of the target audience and are held
throughout
the year to ensure consistency and gradual grooming. Each
workshop put together involves separate modules dealing with
definite facets of the skills, such as ‘Effective use of
Language’, ‘Fundamentals of Public Speaking’, Fact
Management, data structuring and Framing contentions and
tools to refute arguments. Student’s acknowledge the
workshops to be
very effective in giving practical training and these
workshops and participate in these with over whelming
response.
The Moot Court Cell follows a policy of encouraging
participation in moot courts from all batches, organizes
extensive workshops and demonstrations to enable them to
learn the
process of moot courts and arranges for interactive sessions
with experienced litigators from previous batches.
It helps to prepare the students for upcoming legal
practice.
Moot Court is a mock court in which students participate in
simulated court proceedings which involves drafting of
memorials and presenting oral arguments. Moot Court Cell
works
for training the students to improve upon their presentation
skills, so that they can perform well in moot court
competition. The students are guided in different areas as
to, how
to plead orally and submit their written submissions. How to
frame issues, what are factual and legal issues, what is
Jurisdiction of Court, how to answer and tackle the queries
of
judges etc., how to work on strength and weaknesses. The
Moot Court Cell is headed by Umesh Jawalikar, Assistant
Professor along with his team of student members who carry
out
various activities.
The Cell also heads responsibility to select teams for
external moot court competition. Accordingly, Internal Moot
Assessment Round (IMAR) are conducted. The students are
invited
to make presentation on a given moot problem before a panel
of judges which includes an external judge and then are
selected for external moots. As to the requirement, the
teams
are finalized for inter collegiate, state level, national
level or international level competitions.
Apart from this, Different burning issues in form of moot
problems were given to the student participants. With lot of
zeal and efforts students make research on the problem
areas.
This activity increases the research skills of the students.
All the students of BLC are made part of this activity,
irrespective of their classes. The activity also develops a
sense of brotherhood, belongingness and co-operation.
